Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

What Ever Happened to Giving Thanks?

 Thanksgiving B

I don't know about you but every store that I have been has had all of their Christmas decorations up and been playing Christmas music very loudly ....in early November.   It seems that every year Christmas decorations, commercials, and music come out earlier and earlier.  It seems like everyone has forgotten that it is time to give thanks to God for everything, health, wealth, family, and most importantly, salvation.  Our country wants to skip the thanks and go straight to the list of wants.  Am I the only one that this bothers?

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,    II Timothy 3:1&2

  2. You bless my heart with how observant you are with these things. Stay close to the Lord and He will continue to bless you with wisdom.
We truly are naive to the fact that we have so much and yet we grow more unthankful each and every year. What a sad thought of the Lord returning on Thanksgiving Day and finding us grumbling, groaning and fighting over what we don't have. We may be allowed to go through even tougher times in order for our eyes to be opened to what we've been blessed with.
