This has been wonderful year for us. We thought that we would share the highlights.
In February it snowed here, in Georgia, a whopping 6 inches! Man, we had fun!
Jacqueline had to make a snowman and a snow angel.I think the snowman is cute.
Snow covered trees are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen
In early March, our refrigerator sprung a leak. As a result the kitchen,nook, dining room, and entry ,about three quarters of the downstairs, got new floors in late April. I don't have pictures of the new floor, just the mess it made.
Just about the entire house got shoved into our living room.
And just in case anyone is wondering, yes that is our stove.
May is Jacqueline's birthday. This year she turned 13,so I am not the only crazy teenager in the house.
Jacqueline's big present for this year was a guitar which she has gotten pretty good at.
September was our Biltmore trip, always a treat
This is my favorite picture of our trip, and probably the year.
November is my Birthday. I turned 17. I made apple pie, my favorite.
Christmas is filled with presents, family, and good food. Unfortunately Dad caught bug, but we still had a nice day.
Dad made us a roaring fire in the fireplace for most of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day too!
New Year’s Wishes by Frances Ridley Havergal
ReplyDeleteWhat shall I wish thee?
Treasures of earth?
Songs in the springtime,
Pleasures and mirth?
Flowers on thy pathway,
Skies ever clear?
Would this ensure thee
A Happy New Year?
What shall I wish thee?
What can be found
Bringing thee sunshine
All the year round?
Where is the treasure,
Lasting and dear,
That shall ensure thee
A Happy New Year?
Faith that increaseth,
Walking in light;
Hope that aboundeth,
Happy and bright;
Love that is perfect,
Casting out fear;
These shall ensure thee
A Happy New Year.
Peace in the Savior,
Rest at His feet,
Smile of His countenance
Radiant and sweet,
Joy in His presence!
Christ ever near!
This will ensure thee
A Happy New Year!
